Elite Vapes is celebrating their four year anniversary this weekend, and while the shop’s creation was born of necessity when owner Ann’s career path took a sudden deviation, she says it has blossomed into a family as well as a successful business.
“I have three of my kids who work here,” Ann said. “We set the store up in a neighborhood I’ve lived in for 20 plus years.”
In addition to her own children, Ann says that many of her other employees were early customers, who have become like another set of kids.
“Chris is one of my managers,” Ann said. “He won our first cloud competition, and we ended up hiring him afterwards. The majority [of employees] have been here almost the entire time.”
Ann became interested in opening a shop after vaping helped her quit smoking, and the timing happened to be fortuitous.
“We were fortunate to be one of the early shops in Colorado,” she said. “At the time, there were only a handful of them. We’re only four years old, but we’re actually one of the older shops.”
While luck may have contributed to the timing, it has nothing to do with the long-term success of Elite Vapes; Ann attributes that to their customer service:
“I think one of the reasons we’ve done so well here is we’re just sticklers on customer service,” she said. “You help someone quit smoking, they’re gonna be your friend for life; we cater to a lot of beginners here.”
Elite Vapes has been with Mad Scientist Vapor since the very beginning; they will be celebrating their milestone tomorrow (12/2) with a customer appreciation day from 5-9 p.m.
